I am a movement artist, Qi Gong teacher, somatic therapist, and contemplative movement facilitator. My work explores the unfolding sense of self in relation to others through movement, across performative, therapeutic, and research-based contexts.
I have practised Qi Gong for over 20 years, training under Wu Chun-Lin in Taiwan. This practice sparked my deep interest in contemplative movement and dance.
My curiosity about the body’s potential led me to study professionally at the Martha Graham School and later at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where I received an M.A. in Creative Practice in Dance.
Somatic approaches—including Embodied Anatomy, Movement Repatterning and the Discipline of Authentic Movement—inform both my creative research and therapeutic work. Since 2025, I have been offering one-to-one sessions as a somatic therapist through the framework of Integrative Bodywork and Movement Therapy.
Before entering the field of dance, I worked as a visual artist, focusing on painting and ceramics. I hold a B.F.A. from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and have taught art to children and young adults (ages 3–18) in the U.S., Taiwan, and Estonia.
As a performer, I co-created and presented City Walk at the WestFest dance festival and Wanderings at the NewSteps Choreographers Series in New York. In London, I presented my M.A. thesis project, Gestures of Offering—a movement-based inquiry into relational presence—through a series of live performances.
My interdisciplinary practice bridges somatic movement, dance, and visual art. I’ve collaborated with contemplative practitioners and researchers from Buddhist traditions to lead workshops focused on embodied awareness. In 2023, together with designer-researcher Kristi Kuusk, we co-created Moving Awareables—a set of multisensory artefacts designed to cultivate embodied care through somatic interaction.
