Somatic Bodywork and Movement Therapy
Somatic Bodywork and Movement Therapy is a holistic therapeutic approach that works with the body-mind through gentle movement, touch, and awareness. It offers space for listening to and speaking from the felt experience of the body, which includes not only physical sensations but also memories and emotions.
Body systems—such as muscles, bones, organs, nervous system, or immune system—that relate to one’s emotions and movement patterns are explored to support the enquiries and well-being of the client.
The one-to-one sessions are grounded in knowledge of Body-Mind Centering® (Embodied Anatomy, Infant Movement Development, Movement Repatterning), The Discipline of Authentic Movement, and Somatic Psychology. The sessions aim to support clients in developing embodied awareness of both their physical and mental selves and support their relationships with the world.
I am currently training as a student (in the final year of study) at the Institute of Integrative Bodywork and Movement Therapy (I.B.M.T). The sessions I offer are at a reduced price (until June 2025) and take place in Tallinn.

Q & A
Who comes for Somatic Bodywork and Movement Therapy?
People who experience physical and/or emotional pain and discomfort, and would like to work with it holistically to release held tensions in the body-mind and to develop new ways of experiencing life.
What are the sessions like?
Each session is unique. It is shaped together by the client and the therapist.
At the beginning, there will be an initial discussion to understand how to start the session and where to bring our attention.
As the session unfolds, it may include speaking and listening, guided sensing and feeling, hands-on touch, guided movement practice, and/or reflection through mindful moving or sharing. It is an open and fluid structure that emerges through the process.
Is it movement, talk or touch therapy?
The sessions integrate all of these elements to support the needs of the client.
We work to develop embodied self-awareness through moving, speaking and touch.
What is the role of the therapist in the sessions?
I bring attention to what is needed for the client to support their inner exploration of body-mind.
I facilitate movement explorations.
I help the client develop self-awareness through guided movements, touch and attention.
I create and hold space for the client to explore what might be vulnerable or challenging for them.
I witness the client’s process and offer reflections from my relational, embodied presence.
It is a collaborative process in which I guide the client to explore ways of knowing, relating, and being with themselves.
What do the sessions NOT offer?
The sessions are not massages where clients passively receive bodywork.
What to expect from the sessions?
Each session is offered with awareness and intention to support the client’s holistic well-being with the knowledge, skills and caring presence of the therapist.
The sessions aim to empower individuals to participate creatively in the healing journey by developing trust in his or her inner knowledge and intuition, and acquiring skills with which to access the wisdom of the body and mind (I.B.M.T., 2024).
How long is a session?
Each session is 1 hour.
Please leave some extra time after each session to allow a gentle physical and mental transition. This supports the integration of the therapeutic process into life.
