Somatic Bodywork and Movement Therapy
Somatic Bodywork and Movement Therapy is a holistic therapeutic approach that works with the body-mind through gentle movement, touch, and awareness. It offers space for listening to and expressing from the felt experience of the body, including physical sensations, emotions, memories, and imagination.
Through this process, different body systems—such as muscles, bones, organs, nervous system, and immune system—are explored in relation to the client’s enquiries and well-being.
The one-to-one sessions are informed by Body-Mind Centering® (Embodied Anatomy, Infant Movement Development, Movement Repatterning), The Discipline of Authentic Movement, and Somatic Psychology. The work supports the development of embodied awareness and the client’s relationship with oneself and the world.
I am an I.B.M.T. therapist (Institute of Integrative Bodywork and Movement Therapy), offering sessions in Tallinn, Estonia.

Q & A
Who comes for Somatic Bodywork and Movement Therapy?
People who experience physical and/or emotional tension, discomfort, or challenges, and who would like to work with these experiences holistically. The process supports self-discovery, greater awareness, and the development of new ways of moving through life.
What are the sessions like?
Each session is unique and shaped collaboratively by the client and therapist.
We begin with a conversation to understand what is present and where attention is needed.
As the session unfolds, it may include speaking and listening, guided sensing and feeling, hands-on touch, movement exploration, and reflection through mindful movement or dialogue. The structure is open and responsive, emerging naturally through the process.
Is it movement, talk or touch therapy?
The sessions integrate movement, dialogue, and touch according to the needs of the client.
Through this combination, the work supports the ongoing development of embodied self-awareness and a deeper connection with the body-mind.
What is the role of the therapist in the sessions?
My role is to support the client's direct, lived experience of their body and mind.
I facilitate movement explorations and guide the development of self-awareness through movement, touch, and focused attention.
I create and hold a space where clients can safely explore what may feel vulnerable, challenging, or unfamiliar.
I witness the client's process and offer reflections through an embodied, relational presence.
This is a collaborative process in which I support clients in discovering new ways of knowing, relating to, and being with themselves.
What do the sessions NOT offer?
These sessions are not massage treatments where clients passively receive bodywork.
The work invites active participation, curiosity, and engagement in the therapeutic process.
What to expect from the sessions?
Each session is offered with care, intention, and awareness to support the client's holistic well-being through the therapist's knowledge, skills, and presence.
The sessions aim to empower individuals to participate actively and creatively in their healing process by developing trust in their own inner knowledge and intuition, while learning skills that support access to the wisdom of the body and mind (I.B.M.T., 2024).
How long is a session?
Sessions are 1 hour long.
Please allow a little extra time afterwards to support a gentle physical and mental transition into the rest of your day.
